Nursery & Day Care
Babies from newborn to two years old are brought to the crib room which houses 200 cribs. The nannies work with the babies on early stimulation exercise in addition to meeting their basic needs at a one to five ratio. All 200 infants and 600 toddlers are bathed and given clean clothes daily.
The day care program provides breakfast, lunch and dinner, with the older babies eating in their own dining room. Special dietary needs are attended to, such as allergies, protein and vitamin deficiency.
The toddlers are engaged in an early learning program of coordination and vocabulary. The older day care children are in a classroom with a teacher and an aide who teach them good cleanliness habits in addition to the beginnings of reading and writing.
The industrial kitchen of the crib room, used only for the sterilization of bottles and preparation of formulas, provides more than 800 bottles each day in an efficient and hygienic environment. The Café de la Leche program contributes to 40 % of the milk consumed in the Crib room.
