Dental Program / Medical Program
We have a full time pediatrician and two nurses at the doctor´s office at Hogar del Niño; there we keep a file of every child making sure they have all the vaccines that they need. At the Dental Office we have three dentists and two assistants part time, the office is open for the children of the Bateyes on Tuesdays and Thursdays and for children of other institutions, such as orphanages, on Wednesdays. For the children of the most remote Bateyes we have a two chair dental van located in the area.
Doctors, dentists, psychologists and social workers give free service and medicine through our own pharmacy to all the children. Hospitalization or surgery is provided when necessary through Central Romana´s hospital. Visiting doctors come in for special intensive programs, offering their services for several days at a time.
