Volunteering
There are different ways you can volunteer at Hogar del Niño. We have organized groups of volunteers or you can do work on your own depending on your specialty. info@hogardelnino.com
English teacher´s volunteers - A group of residents from the area, fluent in English, initiated this program. A volunteer is assigned a grade to be taught during the school year and the program has been fit into our school curriculum. If you want to be part of this group contacts us at info@hogardelnino.com
Doctor´s volunteers - We have a group of specialized doctors, from psychologists to specialized pediatricians to dermatologists that give free service on a regular basis. If you want to be part of this group please contact us at info@hogardelnino.com
Extracurricular activities - Some people volunteer their time in an area of their interest, creating an extracurricular activity for the children. This includes: a reading club, sports practice(Volleyball, basketball, and tennis), arts and others. If you want to be part of this group please contact us at info@hogardelnino.com
Maintenance Volunteering - Groups of volunteers get together to give regular maintenance to Hogar del Niño - painting of the class rooms, cribs, chairs and desks; planting and gardening; decorating the classrooms; maintenance of the playgrounds; etc. A lot of these volunteers also provide the materials to do the jobs.
