Hogar del Niño´s mission is to provide underprivileged children with their basic needs and give them the opportunity, through education, to be a productive adult and with this break the cycle of poverty in their surroundings.
At Hogar del Niño we are making a difference in the lives of the children in La Romana and its surrounding areas, providing them with the tools to make a better future for them and the community.

I love attending the Cafe de la Leche, a monthly charity event, which unites the women of Casa de Campo to enjoy an evening relaxing with a refreshing drink and a bite to eat, which in exchange for attending women are asked to donate dried milk, baby formula or cereals. This is a great year for “Hogar del Nino”. We opened our new Library, one that will have a capacity of 20,000 volumes, not only for the use of the 1,500 children that come to Hogar every day, but also for the 9,000 children that three times a week have the opportunity to visit Hogar for Dental and Medical care.
